I am Katherine N. Vargas, an undergraduate freshman at City College of New York. Through this second semester, my experience in Professor Steegmann’s social sciences writing course has built the professionalism needed to prepare me for my field and improved my writing to becoming more precise and brief. Through this course, I have learned about the importance of writing in the social sciences field and have even done assignments that prepared me for career work in my major. Through the field work study project, I have learned to use the skills acquired in this course to use at my advantage when I dive into the psychology field. Social sciences writing has prepared me for working in the psychology field.
